I get the folllowing error when trying to view barcodes in CE10

Error in formula . 'BarcodeC128A({tbDPhaDrugDictVendorsByQ.VENDOR})' UFL 'u2lbcode.dll' that implements this function is missing.. File 1d44469b9031dc0.rpt.

An error has occured:
Error in formula . 'BarcodeC128A({tbDPhaDrugDictVendorsByQ.VENDOR})' UFL 'u2lbcode.dll' that implements this function is missing.. File 1d44469b9031dc0.rpt.

The bar code font is installed. If I run the report on the server with CR 10 it works. Only a problem viewing on CE10.

I tried all the different viewers and still the same problem. I suspect the u2lbcode.dll has to be pasted but where??

The error is stating that you didn't install the UFL (user function library) on the CE server, which is a DLL, but pasting it may not do the trick, it might need an install.

Read this, it has the install instructions on it:

-k

UFL is installed. As I mentioned in the original post the report runs in crystal reports on the server but not through ePortofilo.

There are instructions for crystal reports but not crystal enterprise.

Anyone other suggestions?

Where is the UFL installed?
In CE the UFL must be installed on the Page Server, Job Server and RAS Server(they may all be on the same physical box). If you have multiple processing servers, the UFL must be installed on each one of them.

I only have one server for crystal enterprise. Bob, installing it once should be enough?

It looks like the page server os looking for the file in a location other than C:windows\system32

Perhaps it was installed under an account that is unavailable to the accounts that the services run under.

-k

Depending upon the UFL, you may need to register it with Windows.
At a command prompt, navigate to the folder where the dll file is located and type :
revsvr32.exe YourDLLName.dll

Thanks to everyone for the great ideas. Bob was correct resistering the dll and then restarting the crystal services worked.
