Just curious: Is there an awk fucntion or special variable, that will display the running program/script name? Display what version of awk is running?

regarding the awk-version:

PROCINFO["version"]

is available starting with awk 3.1.4


scriptname : no idea

yes, i meant gawk.
sorry, i am not so aware of the different kinds of awk. i will try to obeye this in futures posts.
