Hi Everyone,

I have found similar threads but they are for older versions and they don't really address the issue directly.

I am running IP Office 11.0 Build 849. Ultimately, I just want a button for the receptionist to push when they step away from the desk that goes directly to a VM box.

Likely because I didn't know any better I send calls from outside to a hunt group with only one member, X200 the receptionist. I have a forward unconditional button on the phone that works great as long as it is answered by another person. I tried to forward it to a phantom extension, which would just ring and ring. I have since learned the hunt group calls won't trigger a voicemail since they are kind of in a loop.

I then decided to remove the hunt group and set the outside call routes to go directly to the receptionist. With this configuration the forward unconditional button on the phone works great to another person but now is busy when activated.

On both of these I notice in the log: TryLoggedOutTargeting for user Reception VM Failed. Reception VM being the phantom VM box.

I guess I could enable the Hunt Group VM. Is there a way to set a button to turn VM on and off?

Or I guess I could enable VM for the receptionist and set a do not disturb.

I am open to suggestions and would really appreciate the help. If I don't get any advice I am going to be forced to forward unconditional to a phantom extension, which will be forward to one of my extra DID numbers. Don't make me do such a terrible thing...haha.

If the incoming call targets a hunt group, give the Receptionist a "Set Hunt Group Night Service" button, and the call will automatically go to the Hunt Group's voicemail.

You can also "Set Hunt Group Out of Service" and send to a different destination.

And if you have Voicemail Pro, you can create a Leave action to intercept the call going to the Hunt Group's mailbox and send elsewhere.

I have a time profile set up for an after hours auto attendant that is working fine. Will that interfere?

They only have embedded VM or essential, no pro.

I think set Hunt Group Out of Service sounds like it will work. I didn't know about that button.

Thank You!

That was easy. I set up the VM for the HG, then programmed a button to "set Hunt Group Night Service"

It works just like I wanted.

Thanks Again!
