I have a Small Business 2003 Exch. Server and Blackberry Enterprise server. I am trying to avoid all the junk mail that is coming into my junk mail folder in Outlook (on my pc) and replicating it to my Blackberry. In short, I don't want what's coming into my junk mail folder going to my blackberry. Is there a setting to disable the junkmail folder on the BB Enterprise Server?
Need Help and thanks in advance,
Tzeus

I believe on the client side you can specify the folders to replicate with the blackberry device.

Side note: Just curious why you went with Blackberry when your SBS server supports ServerActiveSync and you could use PocketPC devices that support Outlook natively. I have a few customers using the blackberry devices and I find them clumsy to use. Dialing the phone is difficult one handed.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

I choose only to sync the inbox folder.
btw
Blackberry is still the best device for E-mail. Phone? it's easy to dial when you dial from address book.

Also Blackberry supports Bloomberg financial data.

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

I would have to disagree on the email other than the fact that blackberry does have the push technology (I have heard the next version of PocketPC will support this too).

I can however wait the extra few minutes to have that autosync (I can always do manually if waiting for something) compared to having to buy a second server.

I have the Audiovox 6600 and love it. Take a peak:

I hope you find this post helpful.

Winoto,
Could you be more descriptive on how I would only sync the inbox folder? Would that setting be on the BB, in Outlook or on the BEServer?
Thank you all for the input.

I've only configured that once for one of my clients since I don't use the BB. When you connect the device to their desktop after havign set it up on the server it should force an install of the desktop software. I found the setting somewhere in the menus on the desktop.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

From BES, open bes manager, double click user name, Redirection Tab, Folder rediction, Choose folder

From Device, go to Inbox, Options, email setting, Folder redirection, open (to expand your mailbox folder), use space bar to check/uncheck

From Desktop, open desktop manager, redirector setting and then same like from BES.
