I have an office area that is set up with special phones for running drills. During non-drill days, they do not need these phones in service. I have 2 phones programmed for each desk, and when it is time to run a drill, the user moves his phone from one jack to another to 'activate' the drill phone (having both phones on the desk at the same time would be too confusing). However, since they are all 3904's the 'drill' sets disable overnight during midnights and they have to get ahold of me to reenable everything.

Is there any way to have specific sets NOT disable themselves during midnights when they aren't plugged in without removing LD 30 altogether? My vendor told me there was a class of service that needed to be turned on but I haven't been able to find it.

Hello, I don't know of a 'special CLS' that will allow sets to stay enabled during LD-30 at midnites. Hmm....

Check the BKGD in OVLY in LD17, (PRT in LD22).

One of theese backgound overlays is performing this task. I'm not sure which one, check the NTP for that. If you remove a background program it could have several tasks besides what you want, so be careful...

if you remove ld 32 from your midnights your switch will not disu sets that are unplugged. your switch will instead ini under heavy traffic. after 5 ini's your switch will also do a free cold restart. you might want to find a better way to do the job. a simple script file can enlu the sets, nortel added the disu feature because most people perfer the switch to process calls, instead of processing errors all day.

Removing LD 30 stops the switch from disabling sets that are unplugged but I need to make it work on a per set basis. I still want to run LD 30 to switch clock controllers, etc.

Figured out if you changed FLXD to FLXA it will stop that set from disabling when unplugged.

FLXA is a CLS that control disable in midnight.
I see this in a Nortel Bulletin with release 25.
