I have a report that uses the count function.

I would like this to be hidden and then use the average function on it.

How do I do this

??? Help ???

The average of any single value is just the value? What am I not understanding?

e.g. Avg(Count(*) = Count(*)

There is never time to do it right but there is always time to do it over

eg They are grouped by make of car and number sold by sales men

Make count avg

Ford 500 22

Fiat 100 10

Still confused in somewhere U.S.A.

Are you attempting to portray that 500 fords were sold and that, on average, salesmen averaged 22 Fords Each?

Therefore, you have 22.72727 salesmen? (for Fords?)

Whereas you sold 100 Fiats with the average salesman selling 10 of these (but there are only 10 salesmen doing fiats)?

If the above 'interpertation' is correct, how are you 'deriving' the number of salesmen for each group?
