Having a bit of a problem with AVG network edition. The remote installation of AVG anti-virus on client pc's works, but when using the admin tool to check the status of the computer it does not appear in the list of computers, only the server appears. This setup is run on a Win2003 server running as a domain controller. The client computer has joined the domain and updates for AVG work through finding the update folder on the domain controller and through the internet. Want to be able to remotely administer the computers from a central location. How can this be achieved?

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hi there,

On the installation of the client, you are definitely installing the remote administration connector option, aren't you?

If not, you'd have the problem you mention. When the connector is installed the clients initiate a connection with the server, which can then list the machine under 'new stations'.

Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.
