I have been using avg free at home for sometime and have found it to be excellent most of the time, the only problem i have had with it is when it tries to scan an email with an attachment. If it is a small attachment it just takes some time, but for the larger email attachments i have found that it takes so long as to cause the connection to time out.
I have been contemplating recommending that one of my clients use AVG network as their anti virus suite, but need to know if this issue exists in AVG network, if there is anyone on this place with experience with avg network edition i would appreciate some feedback.

We use AVG network edition here. No problems at all. We do use an internal mail server though, so if you're downloading at home via POP3 over a dialup or such then the scenario will be a bit different.

Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.
