I have installed Systemworks 2002 on our local network (upgrade from Norton AV 2000). That was two months back, and I know wish I could take back the move. It has crippled us for computer performance. Its nearly impossible to run the auto protect, the email scanning will not configure correctly on a number of machines, and the program GUI itself does not run on a few. Most issues are on NT machines.

I have been researching AVG AntiVirus now, and have been testing it on a half dozen machines to see what the result is. So far its been a positive. Just wondering if anyone has any more info on AVG. I have heard its a great. It sure is working well wil us, but I don't want to do a full install with everyone untill I'm sure it works well.

AVG works fine, as long as you keep your eye on it. Internet updates sometimes fail (due to traffic, probably) Scans take a long time if there is a large disk, and if the AVG cannot clean the infected files, there is a user interactive dialog to deal with that can be slow. AVG can be set up to clean network shared drives, (like Linux servers) but this can also be slow, and may crash on windows 9.x machines, although it seems ok on W2k and XP
