I always have issues with reporting an accurate average purchase price of an item. I created several custom reports to show received price as well as the price paid (ie if changes were made in invoice/matching). These prices become our "cost" when we sell the product.

When I go to Cards > Inventory > History, it shows the total quantity sold, the total cost and the total selling price. Is there anywhere like this that shows the purchased quantity and total purchased price in a period?

Thanks!

how about inquiry>purchasing>purchase order items?

or

inquiry>inventory>item transaction?

personally, we made a crystal report to do it.

Same here a custom report. You can try to look at Purchase Analysis Report which gives you the option to enter PO Date, Item No, Vendor ID and more important the PO Line Status.

Yeah the PO date kind of sucks because it's the date the PO was entered. We can have several receivings against a PO over a period of several months, and the price may change when the invoice comes in.

So in some cases we need to report on the Receiving price, and in other cases the Purchase (payables) price actually paid.

I don't use Crystal (prefer Access) so will go that route. I think I have something half assed set up already to do this using a view in SQL.

Thanks guys!

Thanks!
