Using CRXI, SQL Server database. My report has detail as listed below:
05/08/2009 GRANADOS 4 202.50
05/15/2009 GRANADOS 4 337.50
05/22/2009 GRANADOS 4 337.50
05/29/2009 GRANADOS 4 337.50
06/05/2009 GRANADOS 4 135.00
03/26/2010 JACKSON 2 183.84
04/02/2010 JACKSON 2 459.60
04/09/2010 JACKSON 2 275.76

Currently, grouping is not applied. Column 1 is week ending date, 2 is Name, 3 is the number of weeks of pay an individual is entitled to (it is listed multiple times because it is in the details section) and 4 is the payment amount. How can I get the average weeks of pay (using the above data, the average is 3). Thanks.

You could insert a running total that does an average of weeks of pay, evaluates on change of person (an ID field would be better than a name field), and resets never. The running total would need to be placed in the report footer.
