You need to enable customer service/agent mode in order to see the login buttons and make sure that you've got a weblm server specified in your config. You will likely also need to admin the phone as a SIPCC type.
Yes, I was able to get it working, for testing purpose - I enabled webserver on my machine and used the web address of my machine for workplace client (for 46xx settings and SMGR cert) and it worked
