We have an Avaya VSU500/SG200. It was successfully installed a few months ago for remote access & remote users could connect. We can connect to the VSU, but are no longer able to build a secure tunnel (IPSec) between the remote users & the VSU.
The unit sits behind a Cisco 2620 router and is then connected to the network. We had our servers (pdc/W2K & Exchange2k) re-built and it seems to not work since that went on. I thought the pre-shared secret key had expired but I created a new one, reloaded the remote client s/w, etc. I was assured that no changes had been made to the Cisco router or major changes to the servers.
However, this does seem more than an coincidence! We can connect to the VSU when on the LAN and trying to simulate a remote access session - the session passes secure VPN traffic and allows the users to create & establish a session.
Remotely we cannot build a tunnel. The error message says the VPN configuration has changed or the secure gateway is busy or no network connection available.
Has this been experienced before and are there any recommendations where I can look to solve the issue on or off the network? The config. of the VSU looks OK.
Thanks
