Please help me what activities are required on the day of Avaya VoIP cutover.

I understand we make test calls inbound/outbound and check if voice quality is good.

Any other important things?

What do we need from PRI, WAN service providers?

Thanks,

Is this voip on the internal network, or are you talking a SIP trunk to a provider? In either case, besides basic calls in and out, DTMF is always a good thing to test. Long calls greater than 15 minutes should also be tested, this will make sure that there are no interop issues during session refresh instances.

Thanks,

IT is VoiP on internal network not SIP. BUt we have new PRI.

I think we need to get test numbers from PRI provider and test trunk
as well.

Any other important tests we need to perform?

Thanks again.

Also, try the basic stuff like transfer/conference. Check numbering format on your display and when using IP phones, check your call log for correct entries and being able to use callback from the log. Test the internal phonebook of the IP phones and check if backup/restore works on them as well. You'll need that for flex working.
Some other stuff you might wanna check is simply unplug a phone and replug it. Sometimes during installation stuff on the network is changed for tweaking, which might cause problems that can occur later on (dhcp server, lldp, routing).

Thanks Vtec,

I have PRI turned up and they gave me TEST NUMBER to test PRI.

How do i go about tetsing PRI using the test number i have(looking for steps) ?

And HOw do i test DID's list?

Thanks

Well, basically if you got a test number from your provider and your PRI is connected and up, you should be able to dial the test number and make an incoming call. That is to say, your installer should have provisioned this ofcourse. You should also be able to make outgoing calls, depending on your provider. You cannot test DDI numbers if your test number(s) do not correspond.
