Hi
I have a PCS with Partner Voice Mail 3.0 working fine.
Trying to install 4.0 in the slot besides the one with version 3.0 to expand time in the mailboxes .It did not work.
What is the right procedure to follow? The new voice system does not hav slots for the extensions and I was trying to install it to expand the time in the mailboxes that had already been initialized.
Regards,
Julio

Hi Julio,
It sounds like you have a PVM R3 card that fits in the second slot of an ACS processor and a partner mail VS R4. Am I right? If so, the PVM card only goes in the ACS. The Partner mail VS has a port expansion card, it's a different product entirely. You can not use more than one type of messaging system on a phone system at any one time.
I responded to your post in the previous thread as well.
Hope that helps,
-Chris

Sorry Eagle...

You can't have two VM cards in the same system.
3.0 and 4.0 are limited to 20 minutes foe each extension of recorded messages. (or 40 messages, whichever comes first). The receptionest at ext 10 can store up to 60 minutes or recorded messages or 120 messages.

A expansion card in 3.0 and 4.0 only increase the number of
ports and Mailbox'es. not the storage time

I think the only way to increase the VM time is to go to a
VS 5.
