Avaya Val Board PC Record Software?

Hello,
I am interested to find out what program users have had good success with, when recording val wav files on a pc. I have tried using windows media recorder and can sucessfully make val board compatible wav files but I get a pop at the beginning and end of the message when I start and stop recording. I also get some line noise sometimes as well. My searching the internet has turned up little in the world of wav recorders, that are usefull. I would greatly appreciate any assistance. Thanks

A useful tool for saving and manipulating wav files is Audacity.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

The WAV files can be exported in A law, 8kHz, 8 bit, mono to suit the VAL board.
