Hi all,
I'm about to do a bigger upgrade than I have before. System is an IP Office 500 v2 running 7.0 right now. We're going all the way to 10. It's just essentials and in 7, there was no license needed for that. The only license is for some IP endpoints we have there.
I've read about the upgrade path. It looks like I need to go to 8.1 first. Then 9.1. Then I can go to 10. I'm just wondering about when to drop the new license file for essentials in. Apparently the new license is PLDS and it needs to be migrated from the old license. But since there was no old license, I'm assuming I make the whole set up upgrades all the way until 10 and drop it in? Since it is a different type of license, I would think that I don't try to use it in 7 before I start the upgrade... Maybe after 9.1 before 10?
Any clarification would be helpful. Also, any other tips I should make sure to keep in mind.
Thanks!
