Hello,

I am working on both an Avaya IP Office and 3CX setup at a private school that the previous tech set up and didn't leave any documentation. The systems work together for the PA system set up on the 3CX side with a SIP Trunk and I can call the ring group extension from the Avaya phones and it connects. My issue is Avaya has been set up to page all of the phones by using four hunt groups and I'm trying to set it up so when you dial one of those hunt groups it also connects to the 3CX ring group and pages not only the Avaya phones but also the speakers connected to the 3CX system. Anyone ever ran into a similar situation? Any help would be appriciated.

You would need to add a user to the huntgroups that would also dial the 3CX system. You would need to play with it, I have never tried this, but Im thinking you could twin a user to the 3CX system's huntgroup and add that user to the huntgroup (would need to be a "real" extension, not phantom, so maybe extra analog extension?). Again, never tried this, but it seems like you might be able to get this to work.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
