Hi all,

I have an S8400 Server on G650 gateway running R014x.00.1.731.2 software version which died on me all of a sudden. What I think is, it might be the TN8400AP for I have a red light at the top left of the card and a red light at the bottom of the Compact flash card, that’s the middle LED below the compact flash card

The customer is on my case to give a solution but not yet succeeded and I would be grateful if I could be helped on this one please, thank you

Joseph

Looking at an FRU doc for the 8400, the notes for the top LED being Red indicates circuit pack failure.
Im not sure if the entire circuit pack is bad or if it's possible that the onboard SSD CF card went bad. If you have backups you could try and find a 4GB CF card, replace the 2GB or 4GB onboard flash card, do a fresh install and restore a backup.

You can replace the tn8400A with another loaded with R014x.00.1.731.2 and use the flash card to
restore the customer's programming.
The flash card must contain a full backup or xln, security, os backups.

You would then need a new Avaya RFA license that has the replacement processor's serial number
downloaded and installed on the replacement tn8400A
