Good day.

I have a customer that has 2 remote offices, and they have 5 1608 phones in each of the remote offices.

For the last year or two they have been working fine. Last week we did a router upgrade on the site and all of a sudden the Avaya is now asking for Teleworker licences for these phones.

Am I missing something in the Avaya where it has worked fine for so long and NOW wants the licence?

All sites are connected via "MPLS" environment.

Any ideas would be welcome in saving the exorbitant cost of a 10 Teleworker licences.

If the site has prefered Edition, do the 4 free Teleworker licences that come with Essential edition still apply?

Thanks in advance

The change has probably started NATing the phones, that's the only time it kicks about a licence :)

re-instate the VPN you previously had in place and/or check your data routing.

Don't even think about changing to teleworker/NAT traversal!

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

And all that is done is the router upgrade?

Sometimes customer skip to you tell that they also did something else since they think it has nothing to do with it.

Unfortunately I cannot blame the customer for the Router swap as we did it Grrrrr

Looking into the Natting issue.

Thanks for the feedback Gents
