Avaya support on Rev 3 only?

Has anyone besides me been told that Avaya support will only take a trouble ticket for IP Office if the follwing criteria are met?

IPO must be at rev 3.0.59 and VMPro at rev 3.0.17

Trace file must be provided for timeframe in which trouble happened

Avaya will always want the Switch to be at the latest build of a major release before investigating further
it has always been avaya policy to suport only the current major relase & the previous version

this currently menas V3.0 & V2.1

I am not quite sure wha will hapen when V3.1 is relased becasue there will be a large market of DT systems runing V2.1 firmware (V3.0DT inmy oppinion is a joke of a marketing scam)

We have a lot of sites DT with 2.1 and we have no problems with support out of Avaya on these sites.

The DT versions will be supported although there will be only maintenance releases and no new features.
