Hi-

Newbie to this forum and Avaya phone systems - please bear with me - hope I am in the right forum.

We need to know how to clear or change the password for the Avaya - soft console program/software.
Not the config manager - but the console software itself.
Is the username/password or ext/passcode in system Programming on server?

There is a login Settings section where we think may be the extension and passcode that is responsible for the app gaining access to the phone system/server/switch?

My question is that in case we need to create a new profile or install the software on another/new machine...

We currently get autologged into the software upon login w/ a certain domain user account that was setup a long time ago by an Avaya tech.
We no longer have support.

Hope this makes sense - thanks for any help.

you are using an old definity prologic softconsole , this is a old software and you will need to get into the actuall PBX to change any settings , efectivly all you are seeing are other users etc, if you can find out the PBX type i will advise how i can try and get you on it , but need to know it is what i think it is ...its 21.20 here so i will reply at 9amm GMT

Thanks - we are in CST.
That would be at 4AM our time.

I think it is on the PBX as well.
Trying to get access and will invite any steps to how to change on the phone system/PBX.
Cheers.

genrally you need the clan or server ip address and need a tool called ASA then you can log in with a dadmin account , but you will need the password fromyoure maintainer or its $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$from avaya to reset and there is no back door no nothing , sorry!

HI-

We have access to ASA - Avaya Site Admin now - PBX.
Do you know where do we change password for the softconsole?

Thanks much,

-SP

yes can you type "disp sys cust" , "disp con all" "and disp cap" post the results and i will show you how to get youre own log on.

If you get a bit of software called snadboy revalation and look at youre properties of youre connection in ASA second tab in top left , it will show you the stared out password get that and i can get you in , and we can look to add some su or dadmin access...but i want some pink star loving for this (shameless i know)

Hi again -

Already have my own login - not sure of sufficient rights though - I think I am an admin.
Another admin setup my acct.

Here are the results...sorry about the formatting - will this do?
( Of course you can have a pink star)
