Hi lads,

I currently am managing a transition of an Avaya ip500v2 to a new Server Edition based as a Virtual Machine in a Data Centre.

The SIP customers previously working SIP trunk will register and I can make one or two calls with perfect voice clarity and two-way audio. After the first call is finished I can make another call which does dial the other party however there is no audio. If i leave the trunk alone for about 5 minutes I can then repeat the process all over again.

Any suggestions?

(The SIP provider has checked their end, codecs are locked down and all registration settings are correct)

no audio is always the firewall in my experience.

Check your SIP providers RTP ports and match them to the IPO systems RTP PORT NAT min and max.
Trace your call in the monitor and see what rtp ports they are ringing in on and you are calling out on.
