Hi

When deploying Avaya SBCs using HA licenses (Primary and secondary SBC) and a separate EMS server, do we need to create a trunk to both SBCs from the IP Office and therefore mean that we need to double up on the amount of SIP licenses we are putting on the IP Office?

Thanks in advance

Firstly, I've not done this before; but I believe the primary and secondary SBC will have the same IP address (so appear as a single SBC) so there is no special config required for the IPO, hence you shouldn't need additional licenses.

ACSS (SME)

No the HA pair have a shared VIP Address so one trunk to one HA pair , due to the way Avaya phones handle Garp requests its best practice to have your IPO Lan address and the SBC internal interface on separate routable subnets.

ACSS (UC/SBCE/SM/SME)

Not that they mean a thing anymore , get a brain dump pass the test crash the system.
