AVAYA R4 DECT - 3740 end of sale

HI All,

So Avaya 3740 is end of sale as of mid June and apparently the replacement handset is 3745 which only officially works on R10 (which is not even out yet). Has anyone in here tried 3745 on older releases ? R8 R9 ? We have few customers that are after 3740 as replacement for rubbish 3720 and there is not really anything else as 3749 is way to expensive.
