I have a good 'ol US robotics modem I use for PC admin at my home for my ACS6.0 system. Problem is, it just died the other day.

Is it possible to use the internal modem in my PC (which normally doesn't connect) and connect it through the AUX port on my 18D phone and get a successful connection in that manner? I was thinking that by using that port, it would make the signal more palateable for the Remote Admin card.

Thanks for any responses you may have

Yes, the modem port of the acs is Extn72. But that will ONLY be a valid extension if the remote card is installed. If you were using an external modem, did you have the 355A adaptor? If so, you could use a com port from the laptop.

Partner ACS60,

Don't get too excited. A lot of techs on this site have had problems connected from an internal modem due to the fact that one of the modems be it the switch or your laptop have a problem negotiating. It is better to go back to the 10.00 Robotics modem.

Remote Access modem is extension 76.

Was in the shower this am and thought, hey, did i say 72? Came on to say 76, sorry. T.Y. 1043
