Has anyone ever had to terminate a PASS agreement early? We're in a situation where we're firing our current telecom provider, but the PASS agreement is in place for another few months. I know Avaya won't transfer it, but are there any clauses in there for early termination?

Thanks for the help.

don't cancel if you can avoid it. just dont use it right now. if you are getting a new service provider they can get you a new PASS subscriiption, altough you will essentially double pay for the overlap months.

if you cancel it or let it lapse and then get a new vendor that provides PASS there will be a 25% surcharge to the contract to start it back up.

this is only if you have it, lose it for whatever reason, and then try to get it again. If you never had it and get it you don't have the penalty.

hope this helps.

by the way, from the head of cs1000 development. 7.6 is the last release of software they will come out with. No development past this release. They have not announced EOS (end of sale) on the line because it is selling well, but when that does happen, it will ber 6 years and 9 months after the announcement that the line will officially be closed. They anticipate service on the line past 2020, but the next step is the evolution to SIP and getting into the Aura platform. At IAUG and it was interesting to finally hear this.

Heard from someone at IAUG conference that they came out with a new upgrade tool for 7.6, but there's nothing to upgrade to and everyone is making fun of it.

Maybe they meant that the people at Avaya are a bunch of TOOLS.

The tool is used to analyze a system before upgrading to 7.6.

Thanks for the response John, that's what I needed to know.
