Hello

I have a provider that is stating the DTMFtone are not always giving the standard 40milisec tone needed. This was a port to a new carrier. The old carrier has no issues. I know what your going to say already but I'm trying to think out of the box.

Issue

a caller calls a # 1-401-123-4567
the central office see's only 1-401-123-456
the last digit is always dropped. This does not happen on all calls but the new provider stated he does not always seeing the 40milisec tone need and the CO drops that digit. With partner I cannot monitor anything has anyone run into this and if so is there a way I can tell the provider or the ACS to correct it. I do not think its a PBX issue but I have been wrong in the past. Just ask my wife!!!!

Did the new provider actually connect a test set/monitor to the circuit to trap digits...or...are they just reading a CDR from the equipment that controls the circuit?

Doesn't the T1 module have monitor jacks on the front panel? If so, you could connect some sort of monitor...such as a T-Berd 224 and use it to trap digits from test calls.

Thanks for your response

They were reading a CDR from the equipment that controls the circuit. I do not have direct access to a tBerd but I could get one if necessary. But we had to stop the port to the new Carrier. They are still with the old carrier and has not one issue. I think its the new provider issue. I wish there was a way I could explain it better to them or show them how to fix there sh#$ as they say.
