Hi,

We have upgraded an IPO500 from 9.0.4 to 9.0.8 and upgrdaded the Application Server to 9.0.8.
Uninstalled One X Call Assistant, logged into one-x server through web browser and downloaded new version of Call Assistant, have installed, it says it's logging in but when you double click the Call Assistant (or right click and choose One-X-Portal) icon it brings up One-X-Portal but just a blank white screen. The Outlook plugin works fine and it works fine if accessed through the web browser.

Any ideas please?!

Thanks!

We are experiencing this same issue. Right click and choose One-X portal, brings up a white screen. Did you find a resolution for this?

Intrigrant, thank you for your reply. what we are describing doesn't open your default web browser. It opens an "app" with no address bar. In task manager it is identified as "CAWebBrowserHost (32 bit)".

That is a hook to the default web browser to open the default browser in a "boxed" state.
So if you create a shortcut on the desktop with " Office IP Address>:8080/onexportal.html" and you click on the shortcut it does basically the same as the CAWebBrowserHost.exe" does only not boxed, that is only possible using a .NET API call.
Now if the shortcut also shows a empty page then there is a problem with your default browser OR One-X portal server only accepts https requests.
Then try " Office IP Address>:8443/onexportal.html" and see what happens.

It works fine in a browser on http. My default browser is Chrome. Tried switching to IE, same results.

Hi has anyone managed to get a fix for this issue yet?

I am having the same issue since I have upgraded to 10.0.10

I have granted the users full admin rights to the avaya folder & application - no joy

The software works if ran as admin but I cant give my users admin rights to their computers.

Software also works fine via a web browser.

Had the same issue, lower your security settings in IE:

internet explorer, Tools, Internet options, Security and change the security settings to a lower setting.

Double click call assistant, you might have to refresh the page (F5) a few times to get it working it's a bit finicky.

Also it's best to have IE as the default program for all setting just for testing but the main use is for http applications.

In the latest releases Avaya use a open source build in browser named geckoFX ( a older version is used )when you start One-X from the Call Assistant.
The used browser is a dll named "Skyboundgeckofx.dll" or something like that.
GeckoFX does NOT use any browser settings in Windows and tbh it is not very reliable.
I have experienced a lot of problems when used together with Trend Micro corporate virus scanner, delays upto 14 seconds, not updating screens, calls shown as active while there are no ongoing calls etc.

Do you have enabled http:\\ access in one-x portal? If not try that and see what happens, GeckoFX is known to have problems with https:\\ pages.
Another thing to try is to enabe all port 8080 and 8443 traffic to and from the One-X server in your local firewall (if enabled) and make exceptions in the used (real time) virus scanner if used.

It is a bit of a shame for Avaya to use open source in their applications and even worse is that they don't give any information what to do to make it run smoothly in any environment.
