Good Afternoon

Is Avaya one-X Agent used with ACD ?

We do not have ACD and are using the Avaya one-X Communicator

Is that the Basic Difference?

Agents can use one-x communicator for taking calls if necessary, the agents can use feature codes to auto-in or a speed dial of the feature code if you don't have licenses for one-x agent since auto-in won't show up in one-x communicator.

Yes he is right, you have to configure an abbreviated dial for the auto-in to work.
