Avaya mute phone ringing

Another client has Avaya phone system. I do not know what kind exactly, nor am I sure I'm posting in the correct forum.

I simply need to mute the phone ringer for 2 phones that are at the front desk of a doctor's office.

Find out what kind of phone system they have. There is no standard. If they have a Partner, then you have the correct directions, but you are posting in the wrong forum.

depending on the system it might be a system or phone setting to achieve that so more info needed.
