I have an issue when someone leaves a voicemail for a Modular Messaging user where the voicemail will interupt the caller and state if you want to continue your message hit 2, to re-record press 1. This sounds like the voicemail has lost audio stream for the call. Has anyone experienced this problem? How do I go about troubleshooting this one?

Is this on all mailboxes or just one? And if it just one is it the same person causing talk-off?

What type of integration are you using and what is the software levels on the MM

It's not just one person. We have this happening in Washington DC, Charlotte NC and Indiana. Our software version is 3.1. We have QSIG trunks between our PBX's and Modular Messaging.

Check the VMSC to see what codex you are using for the MM system.

With as many MM's as we have out in the world i have heard of this but only using IP connections not T-1.
Do you ever get messages that sound bad or garbled ? It may also be the trunks from the CO.

Where is it I should look for the codec? Audio Encoding or PBX or ?

I would change it to g 711 that will give the best voice quality

When we have had this happen in the past, the caller was on mute.
