Hi there,

We manage a few Avaya sites for a customer. Recently they have asked me to liquate a Lucent era Definity G3 for them. This unit has no phones, and has the ACEND package as it was used for an IMUX for video phones.. As most of you Avaya techs know- people who buy used equipment are primarily interested in the phones. I'm wondering if anyone out there can refer me to a used equipment purchaser that may be interested in it? Maybe even for the sole fact that it was a conf bridge? I would really like to be able to provide the client with some money back for the (I'm sure pricey at the time) investment they have made. This is one of many office closures for our client, so I'm sure further negotiations can be made if the purchaser is interested.

Thanks in advance.

Sell the harware on ebay. That is probably your best best. Depending on the age of the cards, don't expect much...

I would do a search for Avaya resellers and contact them. Their are a lot of vendors out there that refurbish packs, carriers you name it and then resell them. Universal Capital, Telecomm Remarketing Corp, Nutmeg Technologies, and Premier Voice and data, and Platinum Communications are just a few.

phoneguy55- Thought about that, but they have expressed that they don't want to do it that way.

mikey- Thanks for the leads, I'll try some of them.. I ended up calling Saturn Communications (friend from Avaya pointed me there) and they could be a possible hit as well.

Thanks again!

good luck. we can't even give away 2 old systems.
only thing of value are phones, T-1 cards, 24 port station packs.

Remember, that the software on the system is not transferable. So what ever software is loaded onto the system is not a selling point. It is only the hardware.

phonegoober- I know, its pretty sad, I called a vendor the other day and he said he had about 8 cabinets he was thinking about melting down for scrap :\ (Of course he didn't offer to give me one when I said I'd take it for my new house- funny)

I'm hoping that saving grace for this system is that it is setup to be a multipoint conf bridge. Its a long shot, but hey you never know with the specialty stuff.

If anyone in the Colorado area has a system that they are ready to meltdown, I could use a system. I do support on this and other forums and am currently not employed in the field so a system of any sort would be appreciated because it would help me help people on this forum. If necessary, I could even lease the system for $1 with return at any time needed. I don't need any phones, although I wouldn't refuse any type and an Intuity would be great. A damaged, but working system would be great.
