A client has quite a few J179 phones and they are working good, but they have an issue with the sound quality of the speakers.
It seems when they answer a call with the speakers, the sound is very bad and the caller cannot hear them well.
If the person is puts their head closer to the avaya phone, then the caller can hear them.
If they use the handset, the sound is good, for both sides.
They had the 1608 model in the past and never had this issue.
I was thinking that maybe it could be because of the build material of the speaker, since I couldn't find an answer in avaya documentations for this issue.
Any ideas?
