Hi All,

I have an issue with avaya phone j169 at a remote side were it says sip proxy list empty.
The weirdest thin is that on the main site the phone connected normally, but on the remote side not
The phone at the remote site did get the update from the server (version 11.1) and the pbx can ping the phone in system status.
I checked in the phone and did see the phone get the http and https server, I enter the ip of the server manually and also put the sip proxy manual, but still no results.

Might anyone have an idea what can be causing this?

Thank you in advance

I would watch monitor with the SIP stuff on. You should see why it isn't connecting. Either that or a fire wall issue.

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*

Hi budbyrd

I checked with the IT, and he said he open all the ports for the test.
What I did is enter the Proxy ( manual), http and Https server ip address, change tls to tcp and rebooted the phone.
The phone went up and I could log in.

I want to see if a dhcp string would help in pushing the info that the system needs.
Might you know what the dhcp string is for cisco asa for J169

Also I saw something about making a change in 46xxx.txt file, where can I find the document with this steps to check i out

The 46xxsettings.txt file should be autogenerated on the IP Office.
DHCP will fix this, but you don't put in call server info. Really the J phones just need a file server address (http/https) to get their call server information.
The DHCP option 242 with "HTTPSRVR=x.x.x.x" or "HTTPSSRVR" is literally all you need, and it will grab the 46xxsettings.txt that is autogenerated and then any extra settings you need should be put into 46xxspecials.txt

It's super duper seeeemple.
