Avaya J159 Secondary Screen not programmable

Hi all,

We received J159's from our vendor recently and are having some issues with getting all the features to work.

In general, the phone works. The only feature that's giving us a problem right now is the secondary screen, which should give us the option to program buttons 25-48. When we're configuring the phone in Avaya Site Admin, we don't have the option to configure buttons 25-48. We only see Buttons 1-24. We've tried adding a side-car with no luck as well. We've also set the Phone "Type" in Avaya Site Admin to both 9611 and J159# but didn't have any luck. It's worth noting that the vendor was the one that setup the profile for this model. My guess is something wasn't setup correctly. However I'm not familiar with that side of the config. To be completely honest this phone system was kind of thrown in my lap and I've been slowly working things out myself over the last year.

Any tips on getting the secondary display working would be greatly appreciated.

What software level is your IPO at? That's basic information anyone would need to help you.

According to the matrix it is supported from R11.0.4.2 so I assume only standard J series features will work below that.

While AACon is right it sounds like you are using Aura and would need to use that forum... if it is like IPO then buttons 1-8 are page1, 9-16 are page2, and 17-24 are page3. Why do you even expect page2 to be buttons 25-48? The phone has 8 buttons and 3 pages so that math doesn't seem to add up.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

And if it is ASA, you need to manually add the keymodule on page 1 of the user, then you will see an extra page in order to programm the extra keys
