Does anyone know if Avaya loads any special firmware or SW on the Ring Central J series phones?

When you register your J139 to Ring Central or Avaya Cloud Office unique firmware is downloaded to the phone.

The same SIP software is used on all platforms. The behaviour is controlled by 46xxsettings.txt parameters.

I guess I would have to ask why you were inquiring about this in the first place?

The Avaya Cloud Office (or 3PCC) phones can run the RC/ACO firmware but can not load the standard IPO/Aura firmware.

The IPO/Aura versions can run either.

They are separate part numbers and different prices.
