Just upgraded my IP Office and my Application server from 9.1 to 10.1
The upgrade went well and my one-x client still up and running.

I managed to log into the new Avaya IX (previously Equinox) from both the browser and from the Application downloadable from the Application server site...and all went well...I can make calls, receive calls etc.

One thing I cannot manage to get to work is the Mobile App. I am trying on IOS.
I do not have automatic provisioning, therefore I have manually set up the server ...myserver.onex.com used the TLS port which I use on my IPO, and instead of the username Extn102 I am entering 102 because the app asks for extension and password.
I tried both to no avail.
The error on the app is "Phone service: Invalid extension or password"
I can see traffic flowing in monitor and the IP office is responding with a SIP/2.0 403 Forbidden response.

Do I have to have 11.0 running on my Application and IP Office to be able to run the latest Avaya IX workplace? or is it something that I am missing?
The trouble is only with the mobile app...Chrome and the windows application works well, although the latter work on the standard port 9443 as opposed to the mobile app which runs over TLS.

Is "Enable Mobile VOIP Client" checked for the user you are trying to connect with?

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Checking the Avaya comptability matrix, it appears you need Software Release 11.0.4 for IX Workplace to work.

It is HIGHLY recommended that application server and IPO software release are the same. I do believe that IX WP runs in the IPO, and not on the app server, but i could be incorrect about that.

Thank you for the feedback!

Voip client is on because one-x preferred for ipo App works fine.

I am running same level of firmware on both the ipo and the app server, which is 10.1.0.7.0 build 4 . I am suspecting it is the mobile app which works only on version 11.x...I guess I need to upgrade to version 11.0 the lot and test from there.

I am concerned though that when the mobile app is updated and the users automatically update it without asking, they are going to be automatically off the system because previous versions of the app are normally not available on the app store.

It is compatible only with 11.0.4 platforms.
Right answer

Once you have updated to the minimal version, you will need to check that the Identity Certificate complies with the latest prerequisites set up by Apple and Google on 10/10/2019.
