Hello all,

I have a problem, I try to install an Avaya Application Server12.1 on a Hyper-V Server from the ISO.
I have 2 HDDs. 1-250 for Linux Operating System (sda), 2- 10000 for Media Manager (sdb)
When I finish the installation and start the ignition Process, on the New Hardware page, the Additional HDD is 250 (sda) - The same HDD the system installed on it
Note that when running the commands there are two HDDs sda and sdb
tried to remove the 1TB Additional HDD and install only the rocky Linux, the same, 250 HDD appears as additional HDD

Does anybody know a solution to make it work?

Maybe it better to deploy the VM from VHDX file.

@derfloh : We tried that but unfortunately every time we try to run the machine, we get a black screen and the Linux installation is not complete.

I suppose is due because in a virtual environment all the hardware (nics, Hdds, etc) is Virtualized, it means that even though you set a secondary (virtual) HDD it will be created on the same phisical support.
In this case the resiliency of the MM hdd is given by the Hyper-V engine, you should eventually provide snapshots cyclically or using a NAS just for MM recording.

Even if you succeed you will be not supported. Focus on the installing from the correct Hyper-V image issue. Installing from the ISO is not supported on virtual platforms.
