I have a few IPO V2 Essentials systems running 10.1 and 9.1 for at least 2-3 years with no problems. All systems use the 500 V2 for DHCP, are on separate switches than the data LAN, use 9608 or 9608g phones, the VoiceLAN is on its own segment on the SonicWall and the segment does not have any other DHCP servers or computers. The DHCP server is configured to only give addresses to Avaya phones

In the last few weeks, some phones are not getting DHCP and are stuck in a loop. Some reboot successfully, but experience weird problems: no incoming sound and buttons don't work. The only way to fix is to assign static IP. I verified that no changes were made to the system or network

Thanks in advance.

If the voice network has all it's own switches then port mirroring the IP500 and the phone should be relatively straight forward to see if the 500 is receiving the request and responding. A sysmon with only the DHCP service enabled would also help.
