Hello there,

Trying to get IP Softphone R5 working on a Windows 2003 TS.
Tackeled a lot of problems allready but now for the final one.

I am running in Telecommuter mode.
I can start the first client - configure it - login. Works
Then start the second client on the same server - configure it - login (sometimes it works sometime it doesn't) When it does work my first client is logged out.

What can this be ???

Hope to hear.

Kind regards,

Patrick

You can use Phone Manager Lite/Pro but not the IP version on TerminalServer, it has nothing to do with MS 2003.
Avaya confirmed this to me a few weeks ago.

I'm sure the Phone manager manual evan says it isnt supported on Term/Citrix server, not to say it wont work, I know it does , have several sites as well.

Soopa Doopa Intergalactic IP Office installation mechanic and configuration corruptor from way back.

IP Softphone in telecomuter mode.... sounds more like Definity/multivantage softphone than iPhonemanager to me... think you're posting on the wrong thread, my friend. This is the IP Office thread.

Phone Manager telecommute mode was on the roadmap once upon a time, but I have seen that particular myth and fable for some time so I don't know if its still scheduled.

Sounded a lot better than VoIP, the IP side was used just for signalling between the user and the switch. Outgoing calls were handled by the switch calling the user to create a speech path and then letting the user complete dialing. For users broadband connections that allow simultaneous voice and data calls, neatly side steps the issues of VoIP quality, expenses billing, VPN setup, bandwidth, etc.
