Hello,

Has anyone successfully installed IP Softphone R6 on a machine running Vista?
We installed a Multivantage Express (S8500, G700) and use IP phones 9610.
We have upgrade Softphone to R6, SP1 (version stays R5), but when installing the software on a Vista PC we get a message such as "file write protected" and that the user has not the right rights. The PC has administrator rights.
Who can help me.

Hi,
I seem to remember the IP Office boys having the same sort of trouble with Phone Manager. Might be worth giving that a search.

i deal with ip office and i can tell you that they just made 4.1 GA in January, and that is the first release supported by Vista. I do have a couple of clients who are running 4.0 on Vista and we havent noticed any problems.

i just did some reading and saw something about making sure you have the correct license to be able to run softphone r6... just thought i would throw that out there.

read this link, it states something about support on Windows Vista Enterprise???
