Hello ...

The ring is set on the IP phone by pressing Phone A-Menu > Screen/Sounds > Personal Ringing, then choose ring pattern.
Has anyone experienced why the IP Phones losing their ring pattern overnight or when rebooting the IPO or the IP Phones ?
The IPO is Rls 9.1

Thanks

Any suggestion why this case occur ???

Hi Joe,

its 9.1.10.0 build 192

Thanks

I was going to say do a dot upgrade for version 9 but you are already at the latest, maybe downgrade to 9.1.8, may be a bug in that load

Hi Joe ...

How to downgrade ? I know the way to upgrade ? but downgrade !!! I think the DTE is just for downgrade release not loads.

Thanks

downgrade the same way you upgrade. Launch Manager with the correct directory containing the BIN files selected in preferences, File > Advanced > Upgrade.... You will see your system, its current release, and the available release to change it to.

Downgrade is like a upgrade only you select a lower software version as the current one, or recreate the SD card with R9.1.9.
I would just download the 9.1.9 BIN files from PLDS and copy all those files to the system/primary folder on the SD card and reboot IP Office then a downgrade is done.

@TouchToneTommy: @intrigrant : are you agree as Joe2938, that this is a bug in load 10, and must be downgrade to another load to be solved.

Thanks

I cannot confirm it is a bug as we do not use 9.1.10 just because the Manager has a bug.
And 9.1.9 is doing very well, no need to upgrade.

@ intrigrant: by the way I try it on Rls. 9.0 and 8.1 now, same same. I don't know if there a configuration can do on the Manager ?

Thanks

Hello ...

I try it on many releases 8.1, 9.0, 9.1. the personal ring are lost whenever the phone system or the individual phone are reset. also in midnight backup.

any suggestion to solve this

Tbanks

The solution is to stop rebooting the system. What is the reason for the reboots?

no that is not a solution, sometimes the system needs a reboot and the setting should stay, so your post makes no sense at all@sagbab

Have you confirmed the firmware the phone is running? Quite often when you upgrade/downgrade using the upgrade wizard the IP phone's firmware does not make it on the memory card. So even though you are trying different releases you are quite possibly running the same firmware on the phones that has an issue. You can check the tech bulletin for the release you are running and then check the version the phone is running and make sure they match. I am betting they don't.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

@critchey: I will try and update you. thanks

@critchey: in tech bulletin release notes, the firmware is 1.380B, on the phones its different, search on the avaya support cant find this firmware.

Thanks

@critchey: try it .. but nothing changes.
@gwebster: thank you
