Dear expert,

How to setup the PC port in the Avaya IP Phone, so that a PC can use this port.
Does the IP Phone and the PC use the same ip address or different one?

Start by saying what phone, Avaya IP Phone covers an awful lot of at times very different phones.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

It depends on the switch port configuration which your Phone is plugged to.
If you have no vlans configured on your switch then the pc and the phone will take an ip from the same range of your dhcp. If you have data and voice vlans then the phone will take an IP from the voice and your pc from the data vlan.
