I installed an IPO 11.0.4 with j139 phones with an analog port for paging. I am trying to incorporate a Bogen PCMSYS3 zone paging module and a Bogen gold seal series amp. I have all of the programming done and tested and it works (I put my butt set on the page input before the zpm). The problem is none of the pages from the j139 phones go through the zpm unless I page through the override port. Bogen swears its a configuration problem. shouldn't I then be able to put my butt set on the page input coming from the zpm before the TEL input and hear the page? I hear a power buzz instead. Also should be noted that I had swapped the PCMSYS3 out with another new one I had on hand.

Wiring: IPO analog port with resistor across T and R
That plugs into station port on PCMTIM
T and R from amp TEL connects to PA IN and RT on PCMCPU
70v and COM connects to PA OUT and RT
Speakers connected to zone A, B, etc

I think ZPMs also need a contact closure to trigger them along with the audio output of the KSU. In the good old Nortel days there was a Page Relay port that would close every time an external page was made, and both that port and the page audio port were connected to the ZPM. Unfortunately an IPO has no such relay port. You could try using an analog trunk port as your paging port.
If you use an ALGO SIP Alerter there is a relay port that can be programmed to close along with an external page.

Yes, the PCMSYS3 requires a contact closure if you are going to use it as a page port. As it is a zone paging unit, having it programmed as a page port doesn't make a lot of sense. The main purpose in using the analog station as a page port is to have it in a 'page" hunt group with other phones. Which, if zoned, would put DTMF across all the phones.
Take out the resistor.
Program the IPO port as an IVR. If you don't do IVR you will page out the disconnect tone from the IPO.
Set up the Bogen to accept ringing station.

You will hear one ring when you dial that extension, dial the acces code, and you should be good.

Budbyrd!!! That was it! It rang once, answered, I dialed the zone number and paged overhead. Thank you so much!

You are more than welcome. [wink]
