We have a client that has an Avaya IP Office 500 system handling their incoming and outgoing calls. Now they want to link this system to an Elastix 2.5.0 in the same office for the purpose of using an open source Oodoo CRM application which they will deploy on that Elastix. How can we achieve the connectivity between these 2? Should it be by CTI or we have to use SIP trunks. Incoming and outgoing calls will be made from the Avaya phones on the Avaya PBX. There are no phones on the Elastix at all. The sole purpose of that Elastix is to enable them to use the click to dial + the pop up apps on their CRM.

Would appreciate help on this.

Did a similar connection between Avaya Communication Manager and Elastix. After a lot of trial and error, we ended up putting a card in Elastix, T1 cross over cable, and PRI between the two systems. The Elastix was hosting a temporary sales team and worked great for the 6 month project.

PRI's are easy to program in both systems. Can be up and running in a matter of hours.
