Hello all.. I have an Avaya IPO 500 V2 currently at 8.0 with preferred edition.

We're looking to do outlook integration where if you click on an outlook contact it will dial from your desk phone for 5-10 users.

Can anyone help point me in the direction of the license(s) needed to accomplish this?

Side note: I plan to bring the unit up to 9.1 at the same time.

Thanks in advance.

TAPI is free of licenses (thus free of charge) and will do just what you ask for.

So I just need to get my hands on the IP Office 9.1 User CD which will have the TAPI software, correct? And as long as I am only doing 1 user per computer, the free version will work perfectly fine, correct?

For future reference.. I don't need the preferred edition to accomplish any of this, correct?

Sorry for all of the amateur questions.

You download it within OneX Portal Client.

daddy? are you doing blah blah blah things again?

That route would require a one-x portal server and power user licenses to use it, correct?

Based on the initial responses I received, I was under the impression there was a way to go about this without those licenses.

Have you done a Google for something like Avaya IP Office TAPI Outlook? You'll find job aids and discussions on how to do it

The last time I installed TAPI for Outlook, it was Outlook 2013 with TAPI2 from the USER4_2_61.exe program

Select the Avaya IP Office TAPI in outlook as the telephony device you want to use.
If the TAPI does not show uo in the list then read this and try again.
Sometimes you must select the list view in contacts to see the "dial" option.

Just wanted to update that we got it working without any additional hardware or software. It does not "click" to dial as in turn the numbers into clickable icons but we can definitely dial from outlook. Thanks for all of your help.
