I had a lightning strike and damage the 1st card on the gateway/IPO. I replace with the same 8-Phone board but I do not get dial tone on the new single line extension board. I did a system complete reset to default and send the configuration back up to the system. Either way no dialtone. I have moved the card to another empty slot and no dialtone.
I tried to replace the gateway but ran into another issue. Somehow, the gateway knows it is a 8.1 release ? Strange because I had upgraded this gateway I used as my demo. In case of emergency I could just place the SD card from the defective unit to the demo unit but it gives me an error asking for 8.1 upgrade license. My Demo was originally and 8.1 but avaya upgraded it to 9.0. It seems the upgrade license is in the SD card (demo) as my defective unit is 9.1.0.0 build 437.
But when i take the SD card out it somehow looses its release and I assume it goes back to the original 8.1. Looking for possible solution on getting the replacement 8 phone up and working. I wonder if the lightning strike will cause ports to close.
