Avaya IP Office Embedded Voice-mail to E-mail R8.1 1

I am using an Avaya IP Office R8.1(67).
IP Routes: 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0/192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1 is my router IP address).
I can ping 8.8.8.8 from the system (using "System Status").

Under System/SMTP i have :
IP: 213.165.64.45
port: 587
email from address: you@gmx.com
server requires auth: ticked
user name; you@gmx.com
password; your password
use challenge response auth: unticked
as it was recommended by Base1234 and used by a lots of users.

I tried different servers, same server with port 25.
Under the user/voicemail i have my email address me@mycompany.com and Copy is selected.

I got nothing so far, no emails.
Any idea what could be causing that?

They changed their smtp server address to .42 (old one was .45).
 
It would be so much simpler if they just allowed for fqdn instead of IP Address; mail.gmx.com baby.

Now if i'm going to set that for my clients, i would need a tool too keep me updated with the latest SMTP server IP.
FQDN support would've made the hole thing easier.
