I have a user set up with twinning. He is saying that our phone system (main number) is calling him and telling him he has a voicemail. Then he checks it and he doesn't. Tweinning shows the read caller ID number unlike forwarding which shows our main number. So I don't know why the phone system is calling him. On Merlin Magix this used to be how the phone system worked. Someone would leave a message on the employees voicemail and the system used to call them alerting them of the message. I was told this wasn't avaiable in Avaya IP Office so I used forwarding, twinning or the email feature. Anyone have an idea as to what is going on? Thanks

Voicemail has outcalling, just like Merlin Messaging did. It should be announcing the recorded name of the mailbox when calling, so instruct the user to listen carefully so that you can track down the source

His own voicemail is calling him on his cell and stating he has a new message. Then we he calls his work voicemail it says he doesn't have a message. I listened to the message and it also says to stop getting these messages hit *# or something like that. Something is odd because it only happens out of the blue. Today it happened 7 times. I have twinning turned on for his extension so I called it and it worked just like it should. He saw my real number instead of the main number. Something is set to call him and I can't find out where it is? His cell voicemail is set to a lower ring count than his office phone so technically with twinning on no one should ever be asked to leave a message on his office extension. Where is outcalling set?

I also checked his outcalling in Voicemail Pro and it's disabled.

@upinflamezzz In the user section, under the voicemail tab, check to see if 'Voicemail Ringback' is selected. If so, untick this and save/merge. Run some tests to see if this was the issue. If the Voicemail message is emailing to the user, having this on could be annoying in a Twinning scenario.

Thanks, Tim

O.K. I figured it out. I had an old extension set up with outcalling pointing to his number. Disovered this in mailbox details in Voicemail Pro. Thanks for all the help.
